making the technical documentation concerning sewage and water disposal, and use of renewable energy sources;
performing the physical, chemical, and bacteriological analyses, and leading negotiations and advisory in cases concerning environment protection.
1989 - "Ekol" begins its activity with an order from the Institute of Ocean Studies PAN (Polish Academy of Sciences) in Sopot.
1991 – Construction of one of the first hydro-botanical sewage-treatment plants (150 RLM) in Poland. - Przywidz – pomorskie voivodship. 'Ekol' installs buffering protection zones at surface-water intake for the city of Gdańsk.
1992 - Assembly of the first oil Lamela Separator in Poland for the rainwater sewage system in Sopot; building of hydrophytic sewage-treatment plant in the City Zoological Gardens in Gdańsk.
1993 – Signing of a distribution agreement with a Danish company, Unicon for the exclusive rights to sell their products in Poland.
1994 - Installing the first coalescent oil separator (filling station, Hel, Poland) and the first flow controller of Mosbeak from Denmark (stream Ewelina, Sopot, Poland); construction of the biggest hydrophytic sewage-treatment plant in Darzlub (750 RLM) near Puck, Poland. The company's achievements are awarded with a golden medal at the WOD-KAN (Water and Sewage System) Fairs in Bydgoszcz.
1996 - Ekol establishes a new entity: Ekol-Unicon Sp. z o.o. (LLC) (currently Ecol-Unicon Sp. z o.o., LLC) holding 51% of shares; the remaining 49% is owned by a Danish company, Unicon Beton. The new company continues their activities connected with the natural water environment.
1997 - "Ekol" establishes a company Ekolan SA (Inc.) and holds 50% of shares. Currently, it is one of the most renowned developer companies in the Tricity market.
2000 - "Ekol" establishes a company ATA (currently controlling 45% of shares), today this tour operator covers Poland and the rest of Europe and is known for its own active tourism programs (rafting, fishing expedition, diving, parachute jumping, para-gliding, balloon flights, skiing), business, departure and arrival tourism
2001/2002 - Building and sale of an office building in Gdansk, 4 Polanki Street.
2004 - Ekol" owns 50% of shares in the company, Bakowo Sp. z o.o. (LLC)
2006 - "Ekol" signs a license agreement with Australian corporation Phoslock Water Solutions Ltd and becomes the only distributor of a widely proofed Phoslock®formulation used to water reclamation and euthropication prevention in Poland – more at www.phoslock.pl
2008 – Handling of new strategy for the Company:
- renaming it ECOL,
- providing ESK Separator with CE sign,
- establishing a license agreement with Environment 21 USA for rotation tanks distribution in Poland and Europe.
2009 – The further European development politics covers:
- ESL Separator certification,
- building the brand,
- export development.
2010 - completion process of separators certification. All separators (ESL, ESK and EST) have
the CE mark. Growth of the exported sale and also brand establishment on the European Markets.
